Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson is a second president of the United States of America; his portrait is placed in bank-note in value of 2 dollars. Thomas Jefferson kept saying that he prefers people to remember him for deeds he performed for sake of nation but not for deeds other people performed for him. The third president of the USA is an author of Declaration of Independency, the declaration that changed the mood of the whole century and state at all. The government of Thomas Jefferson was distinctive by its extremely humanistic direction and believes - believes that were rather unusual for America of that age. As a child Thomas Jefferson was fond of studying and learning more and more information about his nation and the world. He was rather smart child and so his father insisted on Thomas's receiving good education.
At the age of fourteen Thomas Jefferson lost his father who left him five-acre plot with slaves and tobacco plantations. According to his fathers will Thomas also were obliged to continue studying and Thomas followed this order with a great pleasure. No matter on that fact that Thomas Jefferson left plantations for ever he had never forgot about whom he was and as a secretary and later as a president of the United States of America he asserted farmers rights and protested allotment of western lands.
After Thomas Jefferson graduated college he managed to enter the faculty of advocates where he was noticed by George White. George White was fond of such young but smart youth and so suggested him working at his office. Work at the office of George White made Jefferson a famous and skilful lawyer, who was rather well-connected and was considered as the best lawyer of the Virginia state. Though, the more he worked as a lawyer the more defects of judicial system he noticed. He came to conclusion that penetration doesn't appropriate crimes and it's rather unfair. On the base of these ideas Thomas Jefferson soon switched his activity from judicial to political and soon became the member of legislative house of the Virginia state.
Thomas Jefferson was the first one, who raised the question about equality of rights of white people and Afro-Americans, but that idea was strictly rejected as those who administered justice were the greatest slaveholders, and the law about equality of rights would bring them no good. Frankly speaking, no matter on that fact that Tomas Jefferson scrambled for abrogation of slaveholding he remained a slaveholder himself. Still, what ever it's said Thomas Jefferson was an emblematic personality of American history, a personality who managed to change the mood of the whole century and to bring humanistic ideas into policy of his state.
