Saddam Hussein

Saddam Hussein, the fifth president of Iraq, is notoriously known as a cruel dictator Iraq has ever known. Likelihood such tyranny and brutality was resulted by treatment of the stepfather of Saddam Hussein, who was rather cruel and stern man. Saddam has never known his father, according to some sources of information his father died in six month before Saddam's birth, according to another sources he simply left the family and they have never seen him since that day. Saddam had elder brother who died at the age of twelve when Saddam's mother was pregnant with him. The woman felt into depression and wanted to get rid of the baby (Saddam), she was so frustrated that even after Saddam was born she had no desire to see him as she was mourning over elder son. Under conditions of such deep depression she wasn't able to care about her son and so the brother of Saddam Hussein's mother took the boy away to care about him. It was a perfect situation for Saddam but in some time his uncle was arrested and jailed so Saddam had to go back to his mother. According to customs of Islam in case of husbands death wife have to marry his brother and so, when Saddam get back t his mother she already was a wife of his uncle.

Uncle of Saddam Hussein was rather cruel man, he hadn't enough money and so he made Saddam steal poultry and ships for sail and for any smallest mistake beat him up with a stick. Once Saddam talked to his brother who was proud of his ability to write his name and Saddam got very upset as he also wanted to be educated. So, Saddam asked his stepfather to let him go to school and was beat up again. That occasion resulted Saddam's escape, he escaped to another city where his uncle lived (who was already released from prison by that time) and stayed with him. There Saddam went to school but later was excluded for putting poison snake to teacher's bag. According to Saddam's own words his uncle greatly influenced formation of Saddam's character. It was his uncle who put into boy's head political and military ideas that became predominant ideas of his life and governing.

By year 1966 Saddam was one of the leaders of "Baath" party. His position at that party was a position of one, who managed secret services and, no wonder, that such position gave Saddam an opportunity to collect all the authority in his own hands. At the time of Saddam's governing torturing of imprisoned wasn't only allowed but also rewarded. For the whole history of Iraq there wasn't and likely won't be crueler tyrant than Saddam was. Saddam Hussein was sentenced to death by officials of Iraq, and was hanged during half an hour. The Supreme Criminal Tribunal of Iraq sentenced Saddam Hussein to death for an outrage on humanity.
