Galileo Galilei

Galileo Galilei was a great scientist who had enough of courage to run counter the belief that earth is static. Actually that theory coasted his life for Galileo, as that theory was proclaimed as heresy and Galileo underwent the Inquisition court. According to court decision Galileo was recognised as heretic and was sentenced to hermit life at his villa. The year 1992 was the years when Pope John Paul II proclaimed Galilei as an innocent and recovered him. Galileo believed that the only way to cognize this world is the method of practice and experience; he also was one of those scientists who founded the exact science.

After he finished the school Galileo entered the Medical University of Pisa, but he had to left it as his family had no enough money. So, Galileo Galilei went back to Florence and studied math and physic there, in some time he received a position at the Math and Physic department of the University of Pisa. There in Pisa Galilei continued his studying of exact sciences and through practice came to conclusion that Aristotle was wrong when stated that heavy things falls faster than easy things. Once again he ran counter the theory that was accepted as truth by the whole world. No wonder, scientists were angry with him, they wondered how dared he to protest the theory that was already accepted by all scientists.

As Galileo Galilei constructed the 32x multiplying power he found out that Jupiter has four satellites (that was another disproving of Aristotle words) and that every celestial body rotates on its own axis, and that the Earth rotates about the Sun, which was another one disproof of teaching of Aristotle. The idea about Earth's rotating about the Sun also disproved the religious theory about the Earth's special position among the other celestial bodies. Moreover, such results were a proof that Copernicus's heliocentric system of the world is the only true theory about the world and universe organisation.

Galileo was devoted to the cognitive method of studying and was a master of its usage. So, he was able to study on mistakes of other scientists, exactly on mistakes of Giordano Bruno, so to express his opinion about the Aristotle's teaching and to present the results of own work Galileo wrote the work of art "The dialogue about the Two Major World Systems: it is the Copernicus's and Ptolomaeus's". It looked like the work of art but in fact it's refutation of the Aristotelian theories and teaching.
